This photo shows a 1965 Bentley S3
Lucas distributor with the original dual points.
This photo shows a Pertronix ignition being
installed in place of the points on the same car. This installation with a black
Pertronix 40K volt coil and re-gapped spark plugs with new state of the art
ignition cables painstakingly installed through the original cable
holders and new distributor cap and rotor resulted in a very smooth running Bentley
with greatly enhanced reliability and faster startup. The under hood appearance remains
basically the same as the
Pertronix unit fits inside the distributor cap and there is only one extra wire
showing which is easily hidden.
This installation is a great upgrade for any Bentley S, Rolls Royce Silver Cloud or
R-Type series car.
This is a photo of a Pertronix II ignition
installed in a 1971 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 3.5 with the Bosch ignition rotor is removed for the photo. We also installed a Pertronix
45,000 volt coil as well. This system eliminates all the ancient, complicated
and now unreliable ( They did their best.) 70's ignition electronics and points and
replaces the old setup with this small unit that fits inside the distributor.
The entire installation takes about an hour. We offer many Mercedes applications
for cars with points. There was a discernable improvement in performance from this conversion.
We now offer a Pertronix ignition for the 6.3 litre Mercedes Benz which replaces the original dual point set up.
Electronic Ignitions for marine engines by Chrysler, Dearborn Marine, Ford, Indmar Products, Buffalo Gas Motor, Buchanan, Atlas, Aeroceanic, Acadia, Chris-Craft, Mercruiser (Mercury Marine), Johnson, Evinrude, Onan, Pcemaker, Pleasurecraft, Teledyne Marine, Thermo-Electron, Volvo-Penta, Waukesha and Wisconsin are available.
We supply new distributors with ignitions fitted for MGA, MGB and many Midgets and Sprites. We also supply new distributors for Rovers with the V8 engine for early and 92-95 models with 3.5, 3.9 and 4.4 litre engines.
